Templates and documentation

Cant seem to find any template downloads for FAQ's as per your comparison page - "Features and Support" -Downloadable templates -Download new templates for your FAQs

Also - I had the lite ver 1.11.8 which had Glossary as well as FAQ. I'm just trying to get it to implement something the same as in Pro ..... do you have any documentation????

Re: Templates and documentation

Hello

FAQs v3 Pro does not have a glossary feature at the moment unfortunately. If you have FAQs Lite installed, the glossary within that will still work within the new FAQs system.

Sincere apologies for the confusion about downloadable templates, this is something we are working on, but it is not yet available. This should not be listed on the product description page yet. I cannot provide an ETA on when this will be available unfortunately. The template customization system is included in the product at the moment.

Thanks

Re: Templates and documentation

Hi Adam,

Thx for both replies.

I would have liked having the Glossary in the Pro version, in fact
didn’t look through the docs just went ahead and bought it not realising
the Glossary wasn't there any more - looks like free version is a lot
more bang for your buck lol.

Not to worry - do you have plans to replace the Glossary in the Pro ver?

And second, you mentioned the free ver still having Glossary - when was
the last time the free version got upgraded? That was probably the
primary reason I bought the pro ver. But I guess it wouldn't have been
too long back or it wouldn't work in latest Joomla?

Re: Templates and documentation

Hello

We are panning on a new glossary version for the FAQs v3. We also have a Lite v3 version planned (which is 95% done).

The code for the FAQs Lite component is auto generated from the Support Portal 1.x code. Since the 2.x version of Freestyle Support this hasn't been updated much as a rewrite has been planned. Unfortunately, it has taken far longer than we hoped to get the new version finished.

Can you let me know whats happening with the lite version not working for you and I can get a fix done so you can use the old glossary with the new faqs pro.

Thanks

Re: Templates and documentation

Hi Adam,

Light version works - wasnt sure how old it was so decided to buy pro
ver and update to latest code.

Thanks for the offer but Ill probably wait for your Ver 3 to come out
and upgrade it then. I much prefer to have faq and glossary tied
together.

Just one thing though - rocket templates never seem to work properly and
noticed that the FAQ is picking up the colours from it - I haven’t
populated the FAQ yet but think there may be an issue ......

Cheers

Geoff
