PHP 7 & SQL, or what?!

Hello,
The component works great, but there is a couple of issues. I don't know if it is related to PHP 7, or not.

Re: PHP 7 & SQL, or what?!

Hello

This can happen when you have your database with a specific collation type specified on different tables. Can you use something like phpMyAdmin to check your xxx_extensions table and xxx_fsj_plg_type table to see what collations are being used please?

Thanks

Re: PHP 7 & SQL, or what?!

Hello

Sorry for the slow reply on this, we have been trying to find out what is happening with this.

Joomla 3.5 has decided to change the database schemas collations for some reason. This has not caused any issues apart from with certain version of PHP and MySQL. I will do some testing and try to get a new version of the component released that should properly resolve this issue, but this may take a while, as we need to ensure backward compatability with older version of Joomla, and ensure that no data gets lost in the conversion.

What seems odd is that joomla should be changing over to utf8mb4_unicode_ci rather than the utf8_unicode_ci that you are getting. Do you know if the mbstring lib is installed on your php setup?

Thanks

Re: PHP 7 & SQL, or what?!

Hello,

mbstring is installed.

New version - Im not in a hurry. Manual and automatic translation works, and can be enabled.

Hello

Sincere apologies for the delay in resolving this. The latest version of Translation Manager should have now fixed this problem.

Thanks
